Musical -- Connie Kern

We love our church . . . and as Father Herb always reminds us, that's the people, not the building

Jenny,

Happy 40th birthday! I hope that this is the beginning of a fabulous decade for you!

I chose "musical" for my adjective for you. I remember the first time that you sang at the ambo at St.
John XXIII. I was sitting on the main aisle, and we caught each other’s eyes and shared a little smile.
It was our “moment!"

Anyway, every time you sang or I sang after that day, we always seemed to be able to find each other
in the assembly and give each other a little “hey” kind of look. I don’t do that with anyone else -- just
you. I don’t really know why I do it - it’s just a little thing that we share! I have to say that it’s always
easy to find you because of your tall, wonderful husband!

So, thank you for sharing so much with me! I count myself so lucky to have taught Mary Carol,
Anderson, Pax, and Will! They are such wonderful kids and a true blessing to me. Through them,
I’ve gotten to know and love you, too! Your passion for your family and friends is so evident! Even
though I won’t be at Lial next year, my heart and my prayers will always be right there for all of you!

Enjoy your birthday, Jenny!

Sending love and prayers,

Connie
