Reliable -- Becca Gorman

It must be the contagious smiles
everyone is talking about
that drew these girls togehter
I was going to use the word "Bestie" since everyone knows we are best friends (I may have told everyone that . . .), but I wanted to use a word that is actually in the dictionary -- and if "bestie" is now in the dictionary, please never tell me that!

So, my word, if I can add a new one, is Reliable.

I know Jenny through the Junior League of Toledo, and one of the qualities I noticed early on about her is that she is reliable. She follows through on things she has committed to do. We all know we can count on her. It's not that Jenny has more time than others, this is clearly not the case. She is just a woman of her word and can be trusted to do what she says she will do. I respect her very much. And then of course, she is also DELIGHTFUL to be around. So, I decided we would become friends, and good friends at that (I probably should have asked if she agreed!)

Now, lest this seem like a dry and professional review of Jenny, I want to also add that Jenny shows reliability in other ways. Because we are SUCH good friends, I have been able to witness her being reliable many times.  As a mother, of course, she is dedicated and doing such a good job with your darling, polite, and precious children. She can be relied upon to have a smile on her face and to draw one out in you. And oh my goodness is Jenny reliable on the tennis court --  don't worry; she's got that shot. She will get that ball and knows exactly where to hit it.  Love playing tennis with Jenny. She's just fun to be around and have in your life. It's no wonder that someone would try to level-jump and call themselves a close friend of hers! :-)

I feel lucky to call her my friend, and lucky to be asked by her loving husband to take the time to tell her so. Happy birthday, dear friend. I hope you have a lovely time reading all of these tributes; you deserve them all!

Becca
